Trail Drive Management Corp (TDMC) is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Manager. The AP Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate timely and compliant processing of payments optimizing AP processes and leading a high-performing team.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations including invoice processing vendor payments expense reimbursements and month-end close activities across multiple entities
Ensure compliance with internal controls company policies and applicable regulatory requirements
Manage vendor relationships including issue resolution and payment inquiries
Monitor AP performance and outstanding liabilities
Monitor AP aging and general ledger accounts; resolve discrepancies proactively
Serve as primary AP liaison with other finance functions departments and vendors.
Ensure audit readiness by maintaining proper documentation and reconciliations
Ensure proper project-based coding and job cost allocation
Provide guidance to staff and managers on AP-related policies and procedures
Supervise and mentor AP associates provide coaching training and development opportunities
Provide escalation support for complex or sensitive vendor/staff issues
Oversee and organize AP Outlook inbox on a daily basis
Execute all check runs
Collaborate with AP associates on completion of duties when needed
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Bachelors degree in accounting finance or related field or equivalent work experience.
7 years of progressive experience in accounts payable 3 years in a leadership role
Previous experience in a multi-company high-volume finance department preferred
Strong knowledge of GAAP internal controls and AP best practices
Experience with ERP systems (SAGE SAP Oracle Concur etc.)
Advanced Excel Skills
Excellent analytical organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work on-site on a full-time basis
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends and holidays.
Able to communicate effectively with management guests and team members.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced high-energy environment.
Working Conditions:
Employees must have the ability to lift push and pull up to 10 lbs.
Employee will frequently operate computers and other office devices such as calculators telephones and printers.
Employees will be exposed to high noise levels and/or fluctuating lights in event settings.
Employees must have the ability to reach lift and bend to perform job duties throughout the shift.
Employees may be exposed to hazards associated with moving vehicles and require strict adherence to safety protocols.
Employees are expected to work nights and weekends as needed for events.
Employees are expected to work in the office at all times.
