The Mens Soccer Coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive education-based soccer program that supports the academic and personal growth of student-athletes. The coach will emphasize skill development teamwork sportsmanship and accountability while ensuring compliance with all school district and state athletic regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership
Plan organize and supervise all practices games and team activities
Develop and implement a comprehensive soccer program aligned with the schools mission
Instruct student-athletes in fundamental and advanced soccer skills tactics and conditioning
Student-Athlete Development
Promote academic success and monitor eligibility of all players
Foster leadership discipline respect and teamwork
Create a positive safe and inclusive team environment
Game & Practice Management
Design and execute effective practice plans and seasonal schedules
Prepare the team for competition through scouting and game strategy
Supervise athletes during practices competitions and team travel
Compliance & Administration
Adhere to all district conference and state athletic association policies
Maintain accurate records (rosters statistics equipment inventory etc.)
Communicate regularly with administration parents and student-athletes
Program Support
Manage equipment and uniform distribution/collection
Support fundraising efforts and promote the soccer program
Attend required meetings trainings and professional development
Qualifications
Previous soccer coaching or playing experience preferred
Knowledge of soccer rules techniques and game strategies
Strong leadership communication and organizational skills
Ability to effectively mentor high school/early college student-athletes
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must meet all district and state coaching requirements
Working Conditions
Availability for after-school practices games and occasional weekends
Travel required for away competitions
Ability to demonstrate soccer skills and actively participate in practices
