Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical and administrative operations in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting. This role works under the supervision of a licensed medical provider to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies
Assist providers during patient examinations and procedures
Accurately obtain and document vital signs and patient medical histories
Perform clinical testing including EKG PFT audiometry and vision screening (after competency validation)
Conduct phlebotomy urine drug screening (UDS) breath alcohol testing (BAT) and other lab procedures as required
Complete medication reconciliation and update patient records
Support minor procedures and in-office treatments
Maintain accurate patient documentation files and reports
Assist with insurance authorizations referrals and basic billing tasks
Schedule appointments and manage patient demographic information
Perform patient intake screening and triage (in-person and via phone)
Communicate effectively with patients providers and care teams
Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper functioning of clinical equipment
Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention
Ensure adherence to HIPAA safety and infection control standards
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
Proficiency in taking vital signs patient history and clinical documentation
Familiarity with insurance authorizations and medication reconciliation
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
