Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in a fast-paced acute care hospital setting. This role is ideal for a highly skilled RN who thrives in high-acuity environments and can deliver exceptional patient care under pressure.
The ER RN will provide comprehensive patient care through assessment planning implementation and evaluation while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care using the nursing process
Assess monitor and manage patients with acute and critical conditions
Administer medications and evaluate patient responses
Maintain accurate and timely electronic documentation
Develop and update individualized patient care plans
Communicate effectively with physicians and care teams regarding patient status
Deliver emergency interventions and support during critical situations
Perform IV administration and IV starts with proficiency
Monitor telemetry and identify abnormal cardiac rhythms
Assist in ventilator management and care of critically ill patients
Serve as charge or resource nurse when required
Support staff education onboarding and training initiatives
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Participate in staff meetings and ongoing education programs
Maintain patient confidentiality and high standards of care
Provide compassionate communication with patients and families
Minimum Requirements
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Minimum 2 years of recent ER RN experience
Minimum 1 year of travel ER nursing experience
Active Registered Nurse (RN) License Massachusetts
BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Certification
Successful completion of pharmacology and arrhythmia exams
Strong clinical skills in:
IV therapy and IV starts
Ventilator care
Telemetry monitoring
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
