Tekberry is seeking a Facilities Inspector Student Housing (Off-Campus) to support our client Stanford University within Residential & Dining Enterprises (R&DE). This role focuses on inspecting student housing units after move-out documenting damages and ensuring spaces are ready for incoming residents.
Responsibilities
Conduct detailed room and facility inspections to assess damage safety concerns and maintenance needs
Document findings and support damage assessment and billing processes
Enter and track maintenance work orders for required repairs
Coordinate with custodial teams vendors and housing staff to ensure readiness standards are met
Monitor progress of cleaning repairs and vendor work
Perform inventory counts and verify completion of work orders
Generate reports using internal systems and maintain accurate documentation
Follow all R&DE safety protocols and procedures
Support additional housing and facilities projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED 1 year of relevant experience (or equivalent)
Experience in facilities housing property management or inspection-based roles
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify damages or deficiencies
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with student housing or high-volume turnover environments
Experience with work order systems or facilities tracking tools
Valid California Drivers License (driving may be required)
Work Environment & Requirements
100% onsite role with frequent walking stairs and inspections across multiple housing locations
Work environments may vary from clean residential spaces to areas under maintenance or transition
Occasional extended hours or weekend work based on operational needs
May require light lifting and movement of items
