The Patient Registration / Scheduling Clerk is a cross-trained patient access professional responsible for supporting a seamless patient experience from initial contact through visit completion and follow-up. This role plays a key part in coordinating appointment scheduling patient registration insurance verification prior authorization support referral tracking and patient communication. This position ensures efficient clinic flow accurate revenue cycle data timely access to care and closed-loop referral communication while maintaining compliance with facility policies payer requirements and patient privacy standards.
Rate of Pay: $18.34 - $19.00

Education & Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare office patient access scheduling registration referral coordination insurance verification or administrative healthcare role preferred
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems preferred
Skills & Competencies
Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR systems office software and office equipment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Knowledge of medical terminology insurance plans referral processes and payer requirements preferred
Understanding of HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards
