Position Overview: The Paul F. Doyon Memorial School is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Elementary Math Coach to support K5 teachers in delivering high-quality math instruction. This role focuses on helping all students reach their full mathematical potential through strong instructional practices collaboration and data-informed decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide instructional coaching and support to K5 classroom teachers
Observe math instruction and provide feedback to strengthen teaching practices
Support implementation of Illustrative Mathematics K5 curriculum including unit and lesson planning
Collaborate with teachers to develop yearlong curriculum and pacing
Analyze student data to inform instruction assessment and intervention
Model lessons and support small-group instruction as needed
Work with the Student Support Team to develop strategies for struggling students
Facilitate professional development and share best practices among staff
Assist in developing common assessments and standards-based planning across grade levels
Occasionally teach classes or small groups based on school needs
Qualifications:
Valid Massachusetts teaching license (Elementary or Mathematics preferred)
Experience teaching elementary math
Strong collaboration communication and coaching skills
