General Registration of Interest QLD and NSW Shutdowns 2026
Downer has multiple Outages in Queensland and New South Wales throughout 2026.
As positions on planned and unplanned outages become available and your skills and experience match our criteria our Recruitment Team will contact you to discuss the opportunity and confirm your availability. If you successfully complete the Downer recruitment process you will then be added to our Shutdown Casual Pool.

- Electricians
- Pressure Welders
- Boilermakers
- Mechanical Fitters
- Sheet Metal Workers
- Laggers
- Painter Blasters
- Riggers
- Scaffolders
- Crane Operators
- Confined Space Hole Watchers
- Trades Assistants
PLEASE NOTE Current casual employees do not need to re-apply you will be contacted by our Workforce Management Team for upcoming shutdowns. You may opt in and out based on your personal availabilityduring this time.

- Current Passport or full Birth Certificate
- Drivers Licence (front and back)
- White Card (front and back)
- Confined Space if held (mandatory for majority of shutdowns with a 2 year validity)
- Working at Heights if held (mandatory for majority of shutdowns with a 2 year validity)
- High Risk Work Licence if applicable
- Certification or qualification for your trade if applicable
