Job Description Under a pharmacists supervision perform designated technical and clerical tasks associated with the preparation labeling and delivering of medications including sterile admixtures prepackaged or unit dose addition performs designated tasks regarding pharmacy quality control management of pharmacy records med reconciliation inventory control and preparations of medication accordance with accepted national standards federal and state laws and hospital/department policies and procedures a pharmacy technician is responsible for assisting the staff pharmacists and the director of pharmacy in the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department to assure excellence in patient care. The Senior Pharmacy Technician performs additional functions as assigned by the Pharmacy Director.
Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent Eighteen years of age or older Basic typing and/or computer skills preferred Previous hospital/pharmacy experience preferred Basic math skills Must apply for National certification (CPhT) within one year of hiring Must register with the State Board of Pharmacy.
