Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced GI / Endoscopy Technician for a short-term travel assignment in Bronxville NY. The ideal candidate will support gastrointestinal and endoscopic procedures by ensuring proper equipment preparation sterilization and procedural assistance in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist physicians and nursing staff during GI and endoscopic procedures
Prepare procedure rooms ensuring all equipment and supplies are available and operational
Clean disinfect and sterilize endoscopy equipment in compliance with established protocols
Handle and process instruments following infection control and safety standards
Transport patients to and from procedure areas as needed
Monitor maintain and restock supplies to support efficient workflow
Maintain accurate documentation of equipment usage and sterilization logs
Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazard materials
Support patient care by preparing patients and providing basic procedural instructions
Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Adhere to all hospital policies regulatory requirements and infection control guidelines
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Completion of an accredited Endoscopy Technician program (required)
Minimum 2 years of experience as a GI Technician Endoscopy Technician GI Assistant or OR Technician in a hospital setting (preferred)
Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control practices (required)
Familiarity with endoscopy equipment and reprocessing procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
