Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
Perform cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
Provide education and support to patients and their families
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
Requirements
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Active medical license in the state of Idaho
Strong surgical skills and experience in vascular surgery
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
Schedule: 24-hour call (7a-7a) specific dates
Required Procedures: Open hearts CABGs and aortic dissections
Must be competent to cover any adult cardiac thoracic or vascular surgical case
Rounding required
Support Staff: First-assist two surgical techs one RN circulator anesthesiologist ICU nursing and step-down nursing
EMR: Meditech
Board certification required
