PRN Experienced Caregiver (Home Care Madison County IL)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and experienced PRN Caregiver to provide non-medical in-home care to clients throughout Madison County communities. This position is on an as-needed basis and requires flexibility to accept shifts on short notice. The caregiver will support clients with daily activities while promoting independence dignity and safety in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing dressing grooming toileting and personal hygiene
- Provide mobility assistance including transfers and ambulation support
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping (laundry dishes general cleaning)
- Provide medication reminders (non-clinical only)
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Monitor client condition and report any changes to supervisor or family
- Transport or accompany clients to appointments errands or community activities
- Follow individualized care plans and document services accurately
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of caregiving or home care experience
- Reliable transportation car insurance and valid drivers license
- Must reside in Madison County IL and be willing to travel within 30 miles of your home
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift push or pull 25 pounds
- Ability to bend twist stoop kneel and reach
- Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Schedule:
- PRN / As-needed (no guaranteed hours)
- Must be available for short-notice shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
- Must be willing to work at least 4 shifts per month and at least 1 weekend shift per month
