Job Title: Nursing Director Behavioral Health Location: West Palm Beach FL 33407 Schedule: Full-Time Day Shift (No Weekends) Pay Range: $38.50 $57.00/hour (based on experience)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Nursing Director Behavioral Health to lead and oversee the daily operations of a high-volume behavioral health department within an acute care setting. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient-centered care while driving operational excellence staff engagement and continuous performance improvement.
The Nursing Director serves as a key liaison between patients families physicians and interdisciplinary teams ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Leadership
Provide strategic direction and oversight for all behavioral health nursing operations
Plan organize and supervise departmental activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Drive performance standards and ensure alignment with organizational goals
Quality & Patient Care
Ensure the delivery of safe high-quality patient-centered care
Lead and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient experience
Compliance & Regulatory Standards
Ensure adherence to all hospital policies procedures and safety regulations
Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare and accreditation standards
Financial & Resource Management
Develop and manage departmental budgets while maintaining cost efficiency
Optimize staffing models and resource utilization
Staff Leadership & Development
Lead mentor and evaluate nursing staff and leadership teams
Foster a culture of collaboration accountability and professional growth
Support staff engagement retention and succession planning
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required
Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN) required (or must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to meet background and screening requirements
Experience Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Behavioral Health leadership role (Director level preferred) OR
5 years of Nurse Management experience in an acute care setting with strong behavioral health exposure
