About the Role

Were expanding our Cost Management capability in the Midlands and are looking for a Cost Manager to join our growing team in Birmingham. This is a great opportunity to build your career within a newly established business line inside JLLs well-established regional office working on a varied portfolio of projects alongside experienced colleagues.

Reporting to the Midlands Regional Cost Management Lead youll deliver cost management services across a range of projects drawing on strong technical support leadership guidance and access to industry-leading and AI-enhanced tools. Youll be based in one of the best offices in the Midlands working alongside multi-disciplinary experts in a collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost plans tender documentation and project budgets from feasibility through to post-contract stages.
• Support procurement activity across single-stage and two-stage tendering under both traditional and Design & Build routes.
• Monitor and report on cost performance throughout delivery flagging risks and variances early.
• Assist with value engineering and risk management advice under the guidance of senior colleagues.
• Work closely with project managers building consultants and design teams to support smooth project delivery.
• Manage your own workload across multiple projects maintaining accuracy and client service standards.
• Use digital and AI-enhanced cost management tools to support reporting and data-led insights.
• Contribute to JLLs reputation for technical excellence in the Midlands market.

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Quantity Surveying Construction Economics or a related discipline.
• Working towards MRICS (or equivalent) with a clear intent to pursue chartership.
• Some post-qualification experience in cost management ideally across a range of sectors.
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to project delivery.
• Clear communication skills and a developing ability to manage client relationships.
• A collaborative proactive approach to working within multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ambition to grow within a globally respected business with a structured progression pathway from Cost Manager to Senior Cost Manager.
