Job Summary
Cakum Global is recruiting a Commercial Layer Department Manager for our client based near Lae Papua New Guinea.
Role Overview:
This is a senior leadership role responsible for managing large-scale commercial layer operations ensuring optimal egg production flock health and operational efficiency across multiple farm sites.
Key Highlights
- Lead day-to-day operations across rearing and egg layer production farms
- Drive production KPIs including egg output mortality feed efficiency and flock performance
- Enforce strict biosecurity animal welfare and compliance standards
- Manage feed planning flock placements and production schedules
- Oversee a workforce of 80 staff and develop farm leadership teams
- Monitor performance data and implement continuous improvements
Ideal Candidate
- Degree in Animal Husbandry Veterinary Science or related field
- Minimum 10 years experience in commercial layer or poultry operations
- Strong leadership experience managing large farm teams
- Deep knowledge of flock management biosecurity and production systems
- Data-driven with strong planning and reporting capability
- Experience in large-scale (>500000 hens) operations highly regarded
