A well-established manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead production operations in a fast-paced environment. The Manufacturing Supervisor will have a strong background in working with automated machinery and computerized equipment. This role is critical to maintaining safety quality and productivity while developing a high-performing production team.
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production activities on a fixed 12-hour shift in a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This hands-on individual will provide strong floor leadership support continuous improvement efforts and ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of approximately 1012 production associates and leads providing hands-on leadership on the production floor
Lead coach and develop team members while assigning daily tasks and monitoring workflow to maximize efficiency
Assist with machine setup troubleshooting and resolution of production issues to maintain safe and effective operations
Monitor production output scrap and downtime to ensure shift performance targets are achieved
Identify production inefficiencies and implement corrective actions to improve safety quality and productivity
Maintain product quality standards and accurate production documentation; promptly address defects or operational issues
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of supervising production teams in a manufacturing environment
Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of production processes industrial machinery and safety standards
Ability to work a fixed 12-hour day in a continuous (24/7) manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand walk bend and squat for extended periods during 12-hour shifts
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Comfortable working in varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing setting
