Job Title: Independent Consulting Opportunity Structural Forensic Engineer (1099)

Job Overview:

U.S. Forensic is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer specializing in Structural Forensics to support forensic investigations on a contract basis. This opportunity is ideal for senior-level engineers seeking flexible project-driven work while applying deep technical expertise in forensic analysis.

We evaluate residential commercial and industrial buildings. The selected consultant will independently investigate structural failures construction defects damage causation matters while delivering defensible engineering opinions supported by sound methodology. This position requires a strong background in structural engineering and the ability to provide expert testimony when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed forensic investigations of structural failures collapses and construction defects.
  • Perform site inspections and gather relevant data to support forensic analysis.
  • Utilize engineering principles and practices to analyze and assess structural issues.
  • Prepare clear and concise technical reports outlining findings and conclusions.
  • Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings when required.
  • Stay current with industry trends codes and standards related to structural engineering.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or related degree.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills suitable for forensic reports.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience with litigation support or expert testimony
