The role

As a Project Engineering Manager youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. You will lead the multidisciplinary technical design and delivery of complex engineering projects across their full lifecycle from concept through to inservice support and disposal.

This is a rare opportunity to combine handson engineering expertise with people leadership. You will manage and develop a team of engineers act as the technical authority for your projects and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Daytoday youll be required to:

• Leading and managing the engineering function across allocated projects ensuring delivery to time cost and quality
• Acting as the technical point of contact for internal teams customers and suppliers
• Ensuring engineering compliance with legal regulatory and safety requirements
• Coaching mentoring and developing engineers to build capability and performance
• Identifying and managing technical risks dependencies and design tradeoffs

The role is based onsite at Walsall and the set working times are Monday to Friday 39 hours per week.

Essential experience of the Project Engineering Manager:

• Systemlevel engineering experience with vehicle integration
• Defining requirements specifications and system architecture
• Designing for manufacturability cost weight and reliability
• Understanding testing validation and homologation processes
• Proven team and people management experience

Qualifications for the Project Engineering Manager:

• Problem-solving and root cause analysis (8D A3 Ishikawa 5-Why)
• Knowledge of automotive systems (powertrain chassis body E/E ADAS thermal or interiors)
• Knowledge of CAD/CAE tools and engineering documentation

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
