Bambini childcareis seeking a responsible caring and energetic MSDE-qualified School Age Teacher to join our after-school program team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to create a safe engaging and supportive environment where kids can thrive after school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise children during arrival transitions snack time and structured activities
- Provide homework help and encourage academic engagement
- Lead fun age-appropriate activities including crafts games and enrichment
- Maintain a safe clean and welcoming classroom environment
- Keep accurate records (attendance incident reports etc.)
- Communicate effectively with parents team members and leadership
- Follow MSDE Office of Child Care regulations and program policies at all times
Minimum Qualifications(Per MSDE COMAR 13A.16.06):
- Must be at least 19 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Completed the 90-Hour School Age Child Care Certification (or approved equivalent)
- Minimum of 400 hours of supervised experience working with school-aged children
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Ability to pass all required background checks and medical clearances
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a licensed child care or school-age program
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Creative enthusiastic and passionate about working with children
Hours:
- Part-Time MondayFriday
- 8:30 AM 5:30 PM
- hourly pay $17-$20
