Provide friendly professional front-line customer service to visitors and patrons at Park Center the award-winning community hub of the Glenview Park District. Assist with program registrations facility reservations and daily operations while helping create a welcoming and positive experience for the community. The Customer Service Representative is to perform the following essential functions including but not limited to:
Greet and assist visitors patrons and guests in a friendly professional and welcoming manner.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to questions regarding programs facilities events memberships and services.
Process program registrations refunds transfers memberships and facility reservations using registration software.
Coordinate room rentals facility usage and field house reservations.
Accepts payments and accurately processes customer transactions.
Balance daily deposits including cash checks and credit card transactions for multiple operational areas.
Process and issue field house permits and key deposits.
Provide general administrative and clerical support including mail distribution and related office tasks.
Crosstrain to assist as a venue supervisor for rentals community events and special programs.
Assist patrons with website registration issues and helps resolve customer service concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain a positive organized and customer-focused front desk environment.
Respond appropriately to emergency and unexpected situations as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred
Minimum of 1 year of customer service hospitality recreation administrative or front desk experience required; 3 years preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
Basic computer proficiency required
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced customer-focused environment required
Must be dependable professional and able to work both independently and as part of a team
SCHEDULING & PAY:
This is a part-time year-round hourly (non-exempt) position averaging approximately 16 hours per week. Regular hours are Monday and Friday 8:45am2:00pm and Saturday 8:45am3:30pm. Additional hours may be available through venue supervisor shifts rentals special events and shift coverage. Must be available for occasional weekends special events and substitute coverage as needed. Target hiring range is $17$19 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.
