Job Summary
As the leading line of business UMBs bottom line is directlyimpactedby the growth of our commercial portfolio. The team consists of Portfolio Managers Underwriters Credit Analysts Treasury Management and Commercial Card professionals and Capital Markets partners. This team manages Commercial and Industrial relationship throughout its life developing meaningful connections with management of the companies they serve. Always mindful of the changes in the company its industry etc. over time that might create a change in their financial service needs.
As theCommercial Team Lead you will lead a team of professional sales and product specialists which collectively shape Commercial & Industrial solutions that will entice prospective companies to award new business to UMB. From a sales and servicing perspective you willassistinestablishingsales goalsestablishservice policies and standards that will increase client satisfaction and retention. Because this is a leadership role you will have high visibility in the company and communityassistinsettingthe sales strategy for the region and play a criticalroledeveloping new business. Engaging and building relationships with your team internal stake holders business owners CFOs CEOs Controllers and working with existing clients you have the ability to help clients achieve their financial dreams streamline business processes and help them better understand their working cash flow needs.
Howyoullspend your time:
- You will focus on the team and individual goals to better deliver a unified business approach and develop your associates.
- You will oversee budgets recruitmentstrategyfor new associates and the loan portfolio toinsureprofit and loss.
- You will play a critical role in negotiating credit arrangements with team members to help prepare credit memorandum and supporting documentation to gain approvals fromloancommittee.
- You will focus on community activities to get UMBs brand into the community and win business.
- You will oversee the commercial portfoliomonitoringthrough your team members to ensure the loans are performing to standard.

- You have 10 years of Commercial Banking experience.
Bonus points if:
- You have prior leadership experience a bachelors degree in business administration finance or accounting.
