The Director AI Customer Engagement US Oncology is the product owner and strategist for the AI capabilities powering Sales and Marketing across US Oncology. Reporting to the Head of Innovation & Business Planning you will own the strategy and roadmap for these capabilities and the way our Sales and Marketing teams put them to work every day.
The role sits at the center of Oncology commercialization business transformation and AI / technology will champion AI solutions that drive tangible business willbe responsible forthe full lifecycle of Sales and Marketing AI capabilities from ideation to delivery. Further you will be the bridge between US Oncology and the broader AstraZeneca enterprise for customer engagement capability building.
Responsibilities include:
Program strategy
Own the strategy and transformation roadmap for Sales and Marketing AI capabilitiesoverseeingplanning and budget managementprocesses
Developquantifiablebusiness cases and value narrativesfor future Sales and Marketing capabilitiesin collaboration with US Oncology Franchisesand technical delivery teams
Support engagement withthe US Oncology Leadership team (OLT) to ensure top-down alignmenton the AI roadmapand shared decisions on how key capabilities are designed
Track industry marketand innovation shifts toanticipateopportunities and risks
Capability building and change management
Set the direction for how we build Sales and Marketing capabilities prioritizing solutions that meet key business needs and are scalable and sustainable
Identifypeople and process changesrequiredtosuccessfully stand-upsales and marketingcapabilities
Act as change leaderdelivering theCustomer2030 narrativefor sales and marketing teams alsopartnering with Business Excellence and Franchise teams on the training plan
Execution excellence
Ensureaccurateandtimelytranslation of business needs into technical requirements in partnership with Enterprise AI (data science)
Approve scope and release of major AI updates
Trackprogressand surfaceinterdependenciescreativelyaddressingkey challenges and blockersand escalating to senior leadership as necessary
Qualificationsfor the Role:
Minimumrequirements:
At least5years professional experiencein a Pharma commercial function (or as part of a strategy consulting firm supporting the Pharma industry)
Strong analyticalfluency able to translate between brand strategy commercial operations and technology teams
Exceptionalcommunication skillsand the ability tooperatesuccessfully in highly matrixed organizations
Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills with consultative approach and ability to interact and build trust
Strong initiative to understand our core business goals setting direction building alignment and driving work forward
Resourceful proactive and influential able to prioritize in a fast-growing organization
Preferred requirements:
Graduate degree (MBA MastersMDor PhD preferred)
Demonstrated commercial experience in Oncology

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $194571.20 - 291856.80 USD Annual. Our positions offer eligibility for various incentivesan opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs paid time off (i.e. vacation holiday and leaves) as well as health dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
