Job Summary
This position supports daily cafeteria and kitchen operations ensuring excellent customer service cleanliness and adherence to food safety standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.Food Service plays an essential role in delivering safe high-quality food service to hospital patients visitors and staff.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare assemble and serve food and beverages in cafeteria and kitchen settings
- Set up stock and maintain food stations for meal service
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas equipment and kitchen spaces
- Operate dish machines trash compactors and perform routine cleaning (e.g. mopping floors)
- Follow all HACCP and food safety guidelines
- Respond promptly to customer needs and resolve service concerns professionally
- Monitor inventory and report shortages or issues to leadership
- Assist with food prep and support overall cafeteria operations
- Participate in sanitation projects and maintain department standards
- Support training and onboarding of new team members
- Attend department meetings trainings and in-services as required
- Previous food service experience preferred
- Ability to read and communicate in English (role dependent)
- Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to push carts and handle food service equipment safely
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
- Adheres to organizational service and safety standards (I CARE values)
