Where Youll Make a Difference
- Perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting and repairs across plumbing electrical and general building systems
- Operate and utilize technical equipment such as multimeters gas meters temperature and airflow meters
- Maintain laboratory utilities including compressed air RO/DI water natural gas oxygen nitrogen systems and gas detection systems
- Install and service tubing systems for air gas and water applications
- Prepare install calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment such as incubators biosafety cabinets centrifuges and freezers
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance and repairs
- Support equipment relocation installation and facility projects in alignment with EH&S (Environment Health & Safety) standards
- Safely operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks and powered industrial trucks
- Maintain accurate maintenance records reports and documentation using Excel
What Makes You the Right Fit
- High School Diploma with technical training (AA/AS or trade school in Facilities Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent)
- Experience in facilities maintenance within a laboratory or similar environment
- Knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC) plumbing refrigeration systems and controls
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and basic computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word Outlook Teams OneDrive)
- Ability to work independently while managing priorities effectively
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on cleanliness and organization
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a strong work ethic

- OSHA safety training and certification to operate powered industrial trucks
- Experience with gas detection systems and laboratory safety protocols

Working Hours
- Standard schedule: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
- Shift flexibility: Ability to work alternative shifts (10:30 AM 6:30 PM) approximately 23 times per year
- Additional flexibility:
- Overtime as needed
- On-call availability for after-hours support
