We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool in an acute care setting. The RN will deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process monitor patient conditions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment planning implementation and evaluation
Administer medications and monitor patient responses
Maintain accurate timely and comprehensive patient documentation
Perform ongoing patient assessments including physical psychological and social aspects
Develop and implement individualized care plans and communicate with care teams
Function as a charge nurse when required
Utilize computerized nursing systems and informatics tools effectively
Act as a resource for patient care staff orientation and education
Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Adhere to infection control safety and regulatory standards
Support patient education discharge planning and continuity of care
Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Massachusetts
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
Must pass required Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams prior to start
Recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting (within last 2 years)
Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Experience managing cardiac/telemetry patients
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
Key Competencies:
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced float pool environment
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency with electronic medical records and nursing informatics
Commitment to patient safety and quality care
