Our Childrens Services Department is seeking motivated compassionate and dedicated interns for the Fall/Winter term who are pursuing careers in education and therapeutic services. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting children with diverse developmental educational and therapeutic needs while working alongside licensed and certified professionals.
Interns gain meaningful hands-on experience in a dynamic childrens services environment while learning directly from dedicated experienced professionals through ongoing supervision and mentorship. The internship provides valuable exposure to evidence-based educational and therapeutic practices and offers a pathway to fulfill academic internship or fieldwork requirements while building professional skills and confidence for future careers.
Early Childhood Education Intern
Eligibility
Enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program
Key Responsibilities
Support classroom instruction for young children
Assist teachers with lesson preparation and engaging learning activities
Promote childrens social emotional and developmental growth
Observe and support individualized learning plans
Special Education Intern (Pre-K4)
Eligibility
Enrolled in a Special Education Pre-K4 program
Key Responsibilities
Assist special education teachers in inclusive and specialized classrooms
Support students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Help implement instructional and behavioral strategies
Enrolled in an accredited OT or PT program recognized by:
Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)
Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)
Key Responsibilities
Assist licensed therapists during therapy sessions
Support therapeutic activities and exercises
Help document progress and prepare therapy materials
Observe evaluations and treatment planning
Speech & Language Pathology Intern
Eligibility
Enrolled in a Speech-Language Pathology program
Key Responsibilities
Support speech and language therapy sessions
Assist with data collection and documentation
Prepare therapy materials and activities
Observe assessments and intervention strategies
General Internship Requirements
Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
Strong communication skills and professionalism
Commitment to supporting children and families
