Job Summary
This position is an intermediate level analyst position responsible for acquiring in depth knowledge of EPIC Clinical System/Interfaces working independently in completing project tasks and leading the execution of the following tasks as part of a clinical systems implementation: HL7 Interface development data conversion building system components testing documentation of interface specifications data flows and other project information implementation support and maintenance of Epic Clinical addition this position requires the ability to independently interact with clients and guide decision making as well as demonstrate critical thinking and follow through when developing solutions to identified issues.
Responsibilities
design and support API-based integrations across internal and external systems
with application teams vendors and stakeholders to define interface and API requirements
implementation and optimization of FHIR-based APIs and modern interoperability standards
API and integration issues perform root cause analysis and drive resolution
in system design discussions related to SMART on FHIR applications and launch workflows
adherence to security performance and organizational integration standards
technical designs workflows and support procedures
to continuous process improvements and automation initiatives
achieve certification in Epic Bridges as determined by the Epic course catalog.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Three years experience in Information Technology/Computer Science and/or clinical healthcare discipline or demonstrated equivalent experience
- Experience in working on medium to large sized systems projects in a technology-driven environment
- The applicant must have 3 years prior interface development experience preferably with an interface engine
- Epic Bridges Certification and experience required
- Experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) highly preferred
- Experience or familiarity with web technologies (HTTP REST JSON OAuth etc.)
- Strong technical background in APIs integration or interface technologies
Compensation Statement
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $90000.00 - $135285.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors including experience education and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
