Responsibilities
As a Hospice Cook You will:
Prepare and cook patient meals including special diets in a sanitary and safe manner
Cook food in proper quantities based on the daily menu and patient census
Check and log temperatures for food and refrigerated equipment to ensure safety and compliance
Serve as first position on the serving line during meal service
Stock and store food items properly upon delivery
Follow cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
Adhere to all facility and departmental policies and procedures
Maintain confidentiality of all patient and family information
Deliver excellent customer service to patients families and team members
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Associate degree in Culinary Arts preferred
3 years of cooking in a Health Care Institutional or Restaurant Food Service
