Position Summary
The New Business Specialist is responsible for reviewing and preparing applications coordinating with carriers and internal teams and supporting policy issuance and delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented highly organized and service-driven with the ability to communicate proactively and collaborate effectively across teams. Through strong customer service and quality control this role helps deliver a smooth and positive experience for agents partners and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Case Management & Processing
Review applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy prior to submission
Enter application details into company systems and open cases to support timely processing by the team
Ensure all required forms signatures and documentation are obtained and properly recorded
Assist with pre populating applications based on provided information and flag missing or unclear items for follow up
Carrier & Vendor Coordination
Submit applications and required documentation to appropriate carriers
Confirm agent licensing and contracting status using existing systems and partner with the Licensing team when questions arise
Requirements Management
Order outstanding requirements such as medical exams and APS records
Work closely with Case Managers and other internal teams to help resolve documentation questions or requests for additional info
Policy Delivery & Quality Control
Review issued policies for accuracy and completeness
Process policies in CRM and distribute to customers
Support policy delivery and maintain organized electronic files by completing imaging filing and other routine administrative tasks
Customer Service Excellence
Provide a high level of service to agents partners and internal stakeholders
Manage expectations and communicate proactively throughout the case lifecycle
Contribute to a positive solutions-oriented team environment
