Job Summary
Experienced Care Assistant & Senior Care Assistant Residential Care Homes
We are looking for experienced Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants to join our dedicated teams at Downs House and Stroud House Residential Care Homes in Petersfield.
You will be supporting older people including those living with dementia and complex needs to live with dignity comfort and independence.
This is a role for individuals who already have hands-on care experience in a residential or nursing environment and are confident delivering high-quality person-centred care.
Available Roles
- Care Assistants peripatetic roles - Downs House & Stroud House
- 24 hours per week 13.70 per hour weekend enhancements
Peripatetic Roles only - Drivers required (to cover both homes)
- Care Assistant -Stroud House
- Days 30 hours per week - 13.70 per hour weekend enhancements
- 7am - 1pm / 8am - 2pm / 2pm -8pm including alternate weekends
- Care Assistants - Downs House
- Days - 36 - 42 hours per week - 13.70 per hour weekend enhancements

Downs House is a welcoming 46-bed residential care home providing high-quality person-centred elderly care in a calm and supportive environment.
Stroud House is a specialist 25 bed residential care home supporting older people including those living with complex dementia.

Your Role
Care Assistant responsibilities include:
- Supporting residents with personal care and daily living
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with mobility and wellbeing checks
- Supporting residents living with dementia
- Maintaining accurate care records
- Working as part of a supportive care team
Senior Care Assistant responsibilities include:
- Leading shifts and supporting the care team
- Administering medication
- Updating care plans and records
- Liaising with families and healthcare professionals
- Supporting and mentoring staff
- Promoting high standards of person-centred care

Care Assistant roles are a Female-only positions due to a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
