As an on-site AMERICAN SYSTEMSLead Network Engineer youll take a hands-on leadership role ensuring secure reliable network operations supporting U.S. Government customers. Youll serve as a technical authority guiding network design troubleshooting complex issues and maintaining mission-critical connectivity in classified environments.

Responsibilities

As a Lead Network Engineer you will:

  • Configure and troubleshootCisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)to protect data and control access to classified networks.
  • Install configure and maintainCisco routers switches and firewalls.
  • Diagnose and resolveLayer 2/Layer 3VPN andVMwarenetwork issues.
  • Coordinate on-site and remotely with users to configure equipment and troubleshoot connectivity.
  • Recommend performance and security enhancements that improve reliability and reduce costs.
  • Interface with senior management and vendor technical teams on network solutions.
  • Work independently or lead small technical efforts with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

What You Bring:

  • U.S. Citizenship(required)
  • Active TOP SECRET clearancewithSCI eligibility
  • Bachelors degree(or 6 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • 810 yearsof professional networking experience
  • DoD 8140 IAT II-level certification (e.g. Security or equivalent)
  • Expertise inCisco ISE configuration and troubleshootingrouting/switching andfirewall administration
  • Strong understanding ofLayer 2/3 protocolsand network design principles
  • Certifications such asCCNPorCCIEare highly preferred

Pay Transparency Statement

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $140000.00/Yr. - USD $170000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law. AMERICAN SYSTEMS provides for the welfare of its employees and their dependents through a comprehensive benefits program by offering healthcare benefits paid leave retirement plans insurance programs and education and training assistance.
