JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking motivated candidates for this position which involves receiving inspecting components for repair and overhaul generating pre-established technical documentation. We are looking for somebody who has experience with FPI (fluorescent penetrant inspection) and MPI (magnetic particle inspection) and has received or has been previously qualified to perform FPI and MPI inspections at Level II per SNT-TC-1A NAS 410 or equivalent.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions:

a. Perform preliminary inspections on incoming components for Repair/Overhaul
b. Perform in-process inspections including visual coating thickness and surface finish inspections
c. Perform FPI and MPI inspections per OEM and customer instructions and required standards
d. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
e. Perform dimensional inspections using hand tools (i.e. calipers and micrometers) and computer aided measurements (i.e. CMM vision systems)
f. Assist in maintenance and calibration of inspection tools and equipment
g. Identify any non-conformances and make recommendations regarding corrective actions
h. Assist in the performance of procedural and product audits
i. Ability to perform basic statistical analysis and make recommendations based on treds
j. Assist with maintenance of Quality and Production Documentation
k. All other duties as assigned

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Will participate in and support safety initiatives safe work practices and compliance.
Will participate in safety activities including the following: immediately reporting hazards unsafe work practices and accidents/injuries.
Will follow all safety rules FAA regulations PPE compliance and equipment operation requirements.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position may require standing/walking primarily on a level surface for periods of time as well as reaching above shoulder heights or below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 70 pounds.

Equipment Operated: Ability to operate inspection equipment and troubleshoot problems with equipment.

Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Ability to communicate and interact in English both verbally and in written communication
Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office
Exceptional safety and quality awareness
Aerospace experience preferred but not required

Demonstrated ability to follow instructions
Ability to work as a member of a team
Must be available to work Fulltime M-F Hours ranging from 7am 5pm
Must pass FAA/DOT Pre-Employment drug test and background screen also will be
subjected to random drug and alcohol testing.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience

Certificates/Licenses: NDT Level II
