Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst - OpEx to join our Chalmette-based team. This role focuses on operational expense (OpEx) accounting financial analysis budgeting and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate brings strong SAP experience and advanced Excel capabilities with the ability to analyze actuals versus budget and identify variances across 23 company codes in a logistics-focused business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries

Perform account reconciliations
Run and analyze financial reports from SAP
Support month-end quarter-end and year-end close processes
Assist with budgeting and budget season preparation
Perform quarterly and annual reporting
Analyze monthly actuals vs. budget; identify overages and shortfalls
Investigate coding discrepancies and reallocations across company codes
Provide audit support including pulling and organizing documentation
Consolidate and manipulate financial data for reporting purposes

Systems & Tools

SAP ECC (Primary requirement)
Advanced Excel (pivot tables data manipulation reporting)
EPM (SAP budgeting add-on; experience preferred but not required)
Outlook Teams SharePoint
PowerPoint and Word (minimal use; Excel-heavy environment)
