Data Warehouse Developer

Were seeking a skilled Data Warehouse Developer to lead the development of a new MySQL-based data warehouse that will unify all business data sources on a 4-6 month contract. This is a hands-on contract role with immediate impactideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys building robust scalable data infrastructure from the ground up.

Youll be responsible for architecting the warehouse integrating diverse datasets and ensuring the final product is secure compliant and performance-optimized. Once launched youll transition into modernising reporting workflows and migrating legacy reports to Power BI.

As a Data Warehouse Developer you will:

• Architect design and build a MySQL data warehouse including schema and data models.

• Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from multiple business systems.

• Optimise database performance for fast reliable data access and reporting.

• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues including pipeline failures and inconsistencies.

• Document data models processes and architectural decisions clearly and thoroughly.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored data solutions.

• Redevelop existing reports from various platforms and data sources into Power BI aligned with the new warehouse.

• Advanced SQL skills for complex data manipulation aggregation and retrieval (MySQL preferred).

• Experience with ETL tools such as MS SSIS Azure Data Factory (ADF) or Lobster.

• Strong grasp of data modelling techniques including dimensional modelling and normalisation.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Clear communication skills for engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
