Role Summary:

This position will be responsible for the execution of Solar PV and Onshore Wind Farms (and associated infrastructures) projects in the whole cycle of Delivery: from Investment Memo and/or start of tender for EPC up to start of construction (Pre--Construction) from start of construction up to Commercial Operation Date (Construction) and from Commercial Operational Date up to signature of Take over Certificate and handover to Operation & Maintenance (Commissioning).

Ensuring compliance with the execution of project targets in terms of Health Safety and Environment Quality CAPEX and Schedule in accordance with the Company Business Plan and E&C Department requirements.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Construction & Investment Phase

  • Lead construction input to investment decisions including CapEx estimation benchmarking and risk allowances
  • Conduct constructability reviews and project optimization
  • Develop Construction Readiness Plan
  • Define and support contracting strategy (EPC BOS multi-contract)
  • Provide technical leadership during tendering including bid evaluations and negotiations
  • Ensure effective handover from Development/Engineering (PMO) to Construction

Construction Phase (Execution & Control)

  • Full accountability for HSE Quality Cost and Schedule
  • Develop and maintain Construction Management Plan
  • Monitor and control budget schedule and risks
  • Manage contractors including performance claims and compliance
  • Coordinate interfaces across contractors and suppliers
  • Control and approve change orders with strict governance
  • Oversee site supervision and reporting frameworks

Commissioning & Pre-Operations

  • Lead commissioning and operational testing
  • Ensure punch list closure and compliance verification
  • Prepare handover dossier
  • Manage contractor close-out and Take Over Certificates
  • Hand over projects to O&M

Stakeholder & Interface Management

  • Manage internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure structured communication and reporting
  • Represent company with authorities and key stakeholders

Technical & Due Diligence Support

  • Support due diligence and M&A and Finance processes
  • Provide construction feedback to engineering to reduce risks
  • Support design optimization

Strategy & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop construction standards and best practices
  • Support contractor qualification processes
  • Implement lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulatory and company standards
  • Align project delivery with business plan and contractual obligations
  • Maintain documentation and audit readiness

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years managing utility scale EPC projects
  • Programming skills
  • Driving license is mandatory
  • Travelling very often
  • Willing to stay & work on-site during construction/commissioning period
  • Solar Wind and Electrical Infrastructure (Substations lines) design & construction background Standards
  • Normative and regulations METI TSO etc
  • Project Management & Business orientation to cover the whole value chain from different perspectives is preferred.
  • Management and Reporting tools (excel word Microsoft project power BI outlook etc)
  • User level of any of the following engineering software: AutoCad ArcGIS PVCase PVSyst global mapper
  • Experience in database monitoring tools planning & control methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong communication project management problem-solving and teamwork skills
  • Language: Proficient in English and Japanese
