Job Summary
- Design build and maintain Terraform modules for GCP infrastructure including GKE Cloud SQL Networking IAM and GCS.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles for configuration management application deployment and operational automation.
- Own the end-to-end cloud delivery pipeline: provisioning configuration testing and deployment to production.
- Integrate Terraform and Ansible workflows into CI/CD pipelines using Cloud Build GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Implement GCP IAM policies as code enforcing least-privilege access and separation of duties across environments.
- Manage Terraform state backends using GCS and enforce module versioning and registry standards.
- Perform infrastructure drift detection and remediation using Ansible and Terraform plan workflows.
- Build reusable well-documented Terraform modules and Ansible collections for use across delivery teams.
- Collaborate with security teams to embed compliance controls into infrastructure pipelines.
- Support GKE cluster provisioning and day-2 operations using Terraform and Helm.
- Participate in architecture reviews and provide IaC recommendations for new GCP workloads.
- Contribute to internal developer platform tooling for self-service cloud provisioning.
- 4 years of experience in cloud engineering with a strong IaC focus.
- Expert-level Terraform skills including module development remote state workspaces and provider management.
- Strong Ansible experience including roles inventories dynamic inventories and Ansible Vault.
- Solid GCP knowledge covering core services: Compute Engine GKE Cloud Storage VPC Cloud SQL.
- Experience managing GCP IAM programmatically using Terraform.
- Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD integration for infrastructure pipelines.
- Understanding of GCP networking: VPCs subnets firewall rules Cloud NAT and DNS.
- Experience with Linux systems administration and shell scripting.
- Google Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer certification.
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification.
- Experience with Packer for VM image automation.
- Familiarity with GCP-native development and serverless services (Cloud Run Cloud Functions).
- Experience with Vertex AI infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Knowledge of policy-as-code tools such as OPA Sentinel or Checkov.
