Job Summary
Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria Virginia and Orlando Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning design infrastructure management technical consulting engineering and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army Air Force Navy Marine Corps) missions along with other US federal agencies all over the world.
We are seeking an experiencedProject Planner that will supportsupport Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC). You will lead facilities planning real estate and master planning projects while ensuring compliance with DoD Navy applicable codes standards and project requirements.
This position is contingent upon contract award of the contract. If awarded the anticipated period of performance will be approximately five years with six months potential extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage facilities planning real estate actions and master planning projects for DoD and government facilities.
- Develop and coordinate planning solutions for multi-disciplinary/trade vertical and horizontal construction projects.
- Apply DoD and Navy planning criteria guide specifications policies IBC NFPA 101 and applicable industry codes and standards.
- Evaluate the impact of architectural and engineering disciplines on master planning and land-use decisions.
- Review and develop technical drawings specifications SOWs and contract document changes for complex planning and design projects.
- Ensure planning and design activities comply with applicable local state federal and host nation laws codes and statutory requirements.
- Monitor planning and design projects to ensure successful and timely completion within budget.
- Use GIS Microsoft Office architectural design and analysis software and applicable DoD systems to support planning activities.
- Prepare technical reports progress updates and recommendations for Government personnel.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Planning Engineering or Architecture from an accredited college or university supplemented by substantial hands-on facilities planning experience.
- Minimum ten (10) years of professional code-compliant facilities planning experience for real estate actions master planning and adjacent design experience on U.S. Department of Defense or similar government agency projects.
- Knowledge of related architectural and engineering fields and their associated impacts as related to planning.
- Ability to read write and speak fluent English (CEFR C1 level preferred minimum B2).
- Must successfully pass required security background investigations.
