Job Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for supporting the manufacturing activities of Deccos postharvest solutions ensuring products are produced safely efficiently and in compliance with quality standards. The role involves operating production equipment preparing raw materials monitoring production processes conducting quality checks and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. The Production Operator contributes to the delivery of high-quality products that help customers preserve freshness reduce postharvest losses and improve the shelf life of fresh produce.
- Operate production equipment and machinery according to established procedures and work instructions.
- Prepare weigh mix package and label products as required by production schedules.
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency consistency and compliance with specifications.
- Support line changeovers equipment setup and production adjustments.
- Ensure production targets are achieved within established timelines.
- Perform routine quality checks and inspections during production activities.
- Verify that raw materials packaging materials and finished products meet quality requirements.
- Record production and quality data accurately and timely.
- Report deviations non-conformities or quality concerns to supervisors.
- Follow all company health safety environmental and food safety procedures.
- Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area in accordance with company standards.
- Report unsafe conditions incidents and near misses promptly.
- Receive move and store raw materials and finished goods as required.
- Ensure proper identification and traceability of materials.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control activities.
- Support initiatives aimed at improving productivity quality safety and operational efficiency.
- Participate in team meetings and training activities.
- Contribute ideas for process optimization and waste reduction.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Technical or vocational training is considered an advantage.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing production chemical food agricultural or industrial environment is preferred.
- Experience in packaging warehouse or production operations is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of production processes and equipment operation.
- Ability to follow work instructions production records and quality procedures.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and production reporting.
