Business Development Engineer

Your contribution to Prysmians Success:

We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to join our office in Milan

Reporting directly to the Business development Manager you will:

• Support the identification and development of new business opportunities in the renewable energy segment with a particular focus on emerging ocean energy markets (tidal wave floating solutions)
• Contribute to market intelligence activities tracking industry trends competitors and new technologies in niche and fast-evolving sectors
• Engage with external stakeholders (developers EPCs technology providers institutions) to position Prysmian as a key partner in innovative projects
• Support the preparation of commercial proposals pre-qualifications and tenders for new and strategic opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering R&D product management) to adapt existing solutions or develop new offerings tailored to emerging applications
• Contribute to business development initiatives in defense and military applications supporting strategic positioning and opportunity scouting
• Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities in both renewable and defense-related markets
• Support client meetings workshops and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify new leads

You are the right fit if you have/are:

• Fluent in English and another language is a plus
• Degree in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical Energy or equivalent)
• Up to 3-4 years of experience as/in a business development role
• basic understanding of energy infrastructure offshore or industrial projects
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills
• Decision making attitude critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork skills results oriented and ambitious mindset

What we offer

• Applicable Collective Agreement: CCNL Gomma Plastica Cavi elettrici e affini.
• Job Level/Category in line with the applicable collective agreement.
• Gross annual salary no less than: 45.000
• The position is eligible for an individual or collective variable incentive based on the achievement of predetermined performance objectives
