Business Development Engineer
Job Summary
Your contribution to Prysmians Success:
We are looking for a Business Development Engineer to join our office in Milan
Reporting directly to the Business development Manager you will:
- Support the identification and development of new business opportunities in the renewable energy segment with a particular focus on emerging ocean energy markets (tidal wave floating solutions)
- Contribute to market intelligence activities tracking industry trends competitors and new technologies in niche and fast-evolving sectors
- Engage with external stakeholders (developers EPCs technology providers institutions) to position Prysmian as a key partner in innovative projects
- Support the preparation of commercial proposals pre-qualifications and tenders for new and strategic opportunities
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering R&D product management) to adapt existing solutions or develop new offerings tailored to emerging applications
- Contribute to business development initiatives in defense and military applications supporting strategic positioning and opportunity scouting
- Assist in building and maintaining a pipeline of opportunities in both renewable and defense-related markets
- Support client meetings workshops and industry events to strengthen relationships and identify new leads
You are the right fit if you have/are:
- Fluent in English and another language is a plus
- Degree in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical Energy or equivalent)
- Up to 3-4 years of experience as/in a business development role
- basic understanding of energy infrastructure offshore or industrial projects
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Decision making attitude critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong teamwork skills results oriented and ambitious mindset
What we offer

- Job Level/Category in line with the applicable collective agreement.
- Gross annual salary no less than: 45.000
- The position is eligible for an individual or collective variable incentive based on the achievement of predetermined performance objectives
