What will your role be
We are looking for an Avionics System Engineer to join our engineering team. Depending on the candidates experience and competencies the successful applicant will contribute to the specification development integration verification and validation of safety-critical avionics systems throughout the entire product life cycle working within multidisciplinary teams and supporting certification activities for aerospace applications.
- Support the definition capture and management of system requirements.
- Contribute to avionics system architecture design integration verification and validation activities.
- Participate in the application of Systems Engineering processes throughout the product life cycle.
- Collaborate with hardware software electronics and test engineering teams to ensure system consistency and compliance with customer requirements.
- Support system integration troubleshooting and technical investigations.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation requirements verification evidence and engineering deliverables.
- Contribute to design reviews requirements traceability and certification activities according to the level of experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable aerospace standards processes and customer requirements.
Qualifications :
What are we looking for in you Experience and competencies
- Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering Computer Engineering Control Engineering Electronics Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering
- From < 1 up to 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering or safety-critical avionics systems
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and Product Life Cycle processes
- Knowledge of MATLAB & Simulink including applications to Control Theory and/or Kalman Filters
- Basic programming skills in C and/or Python
- Knowledge of avionics communication buses and interfaces (e.g. ARINC 429 MIL-STD-1553).
- Knowledge of system design principles and engineering methodologies
- Experience with requirements capture and management using IBM DOORS is considered an advantage
- Knowledge of system verification and validation principles activities and supporting tools
- Knowledge of the safety-critical development life cycle and aerospace standards such as SAE ARP4754 RTCA DO-178 and RTCA DO-254 is considered an advantage
