Site Development Engineer

Roughan & ODonovan (ROD) is looking to recruit a site development engineer with three to seven years relevant experience for a permanent position within our expanding buildings team.

About the role

You will be part of a team recognised for delivering high quality cost-effective and sustainable building projects across a range of sectorsincluding residential healthcare education and commercial.

Your remit will be to design and coordinate all external works associated with our building projects.

• retail developments

• office buildings

• primary secondary and third-level school buildings

• rail projects

Current and recent projects include:

• Letterkenny Community Healthcare Facility

• Ballyshannon Community Hospital

• Convent Lands Portlaoise Co. Laois

• Meakstown Sports Hall and Community Centre Dublin 11

• Domestic Violence Refuge Co. Wexford

• An Garrán Tramore Co. Waterford

• Baile an Róigh Rosslare Co. Wexford

Essential

• A bachelors degree in civil engineering (Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent)

• Site development design experience for building projects (access roads car parks drainage water SuDS)

• Three to sevenyears relevant experience and sector knowledge

• Proven technical knowledge and engineering skills

• Experience of designing drainage and water supply systems

• Ability to producequality design outputs

• Flexible motivated and focused

• Excellent attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team

• Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills

• Fluent orhighly proficient in spoken and written English

Desirable

• Proficiency inAutoCAD and Civil 3D

• Proficiency inWinDes/Microdrainage

• Experience in site level design

• Experience in road design

• Client-facing skills

• Strong communications skills

• Good MS Office skills

• Membership of a professional body such as Engineers Ireland or theInstitution of Civil Engineers
