Job Summary

About the Role

ORS are seeking a Project Engineer (Structural) to join our growing team delivering structural engineering projects from concept through to construction.

Working across a diverse portfolio of commercial retail and industrial developments you will be responsible for technical design project coordination and client engagement ensuring projects are delivered safely efficiently and to a high standard. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop their technical and professional expertise.



Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver structural engineering projects from design through to construction and completion.
  • Prepare and review structural calculations drawings and technical reports.
  • Develop and coordinate structural models and drawings using Revit AutoCAD and BIM platforms.
  • Liaise with clients architects contractors and multidisciplinary design teams throughout project delivery.
  • Attend site inspections monitor construction progress and provide technical support during construction.
  • Coordinate project programmes technical queries and design changes to ensure timely delivery.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings using Navisworks and BIM360/Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant Irish Building Regulations Eurocodes and industry standards.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships acting as a key point of contact on projects.

Essential Requirements



  • Relevant Level 8 structural engineering degree
  • Proficient with Revit Navis Works AutoCad BIM360/ACC platforms
  • Solid construction/consultancy experience
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive mindset with a desire to continuously learn and develop
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a client facing role
  • Team player
  • Site based experience

Desirable Requirements



  • Chartered or Registered status (or working toward it)
  • Previous experience in fast paced retail construction an advantage
