Job Summary

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of predominately Electrical and Mechanical Systems.
  • Maintenance Management System administration.
  • Participate in Maintenance Management meetings and workshops.
  • System owner of complete systems e.g. Toll Control equipment and building facilities.
  • Provide On-Call cover on a rostered basis.
  • Assist in the implementation of equipment and process upgrade projects.
  • Manage and support projects to improve equipment reliability performance and availability.
  • Develop manage and supervise projects undertaken by the Maintenance Department.
  • Completion of Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance paperwork.
  • Contribute to the improvement of the Preventative Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance systems.
  • Control Safe Work Permit and other safety registers.
  • Participate in Health & Safety meetings and management of assigned actions resulting from action plans.
  • Prepare and review internal procedures method statement and risk assessments.
  • Ensure Health and Safety and Quality compliance.
  • Review and approve external contractors procedures method statements and risk assessments for their works on site.
  • Responsible for the management of local contracts (appointment monitoring and evaluation of Contractors).
  • Work with engineers and suppliers to identify and solve problems and to improve the reliability of tolling systems.
  • Support the Management team in delivery of the Operations and Maintenance agreement.
  • Assist with budget and expenditure reports.
  • Deliver Inductions and Toolbox talks.
  • Develop and manage small projects.
  • Other maintenance activities as directed.

Qualifications :

Qualifications/ Education / Training

Essential

  • 2nd level education
  • 5 years previous experience as a maintenance technician
  • NFQ Level 6 (e.g. Advanced/Higher Certificate in electrical/mechanical/computer systems)
  • Computer literacy Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook / Report writing and experience in trouble shooting
  • Safe Pass

Desirable

Up-to-date training/qualifications in:

  • Tolling IT systems (software/hardware)
  • MEWPS
  • Working at heights
  • H&S Related training - First Aid Fire Warden Manual Handling. Safety Rep.
  • ECDL or equivalent
  • Other complementary work-related training courses/qualifications

 

Experience/ Knowledge

Essential

  • Relevant technical maintenance experience
  • Experience in general office administration
  • Experience of developing and implementing programmes of planned/preventative maintenance
  • Experience in implementing Company policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the standard methods equipment materials tools
  • Awareness of the occupational hazards associated with the full range of activities involved in the maintenance works
  • Awareness of the safety precautions necessary to control these hazards
  • Desirable
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Experience of maintaining a tolling system or similar 24/7 system with hardware/software components
  • Knowledge of the standard methods equipment materials tools and practices used in performing the toll system maintenance requirements
  • Experience of operating and maintaining building management systems
