Graduate Development Programme 2027

Our Graduate Development Programme (GDP) is a structured learning environment providing graduates with the skills and experience they need to be a successful consultant. Over the two-year programme you will receive market-leading training through our technical training academy as well as a range of soft-skills and on-the-job learning. 

The GDP is blended with external qualifications and professional accreditation including SCSI APM CIOB and ICE to ensure you become an industry-leading professional. With everything logged on our online learning platform a graduate development manager central development team line manager and buddy you will have all the tools and support needed to excel and achieve your career goals. 

The programme is designed to be: 

• A platform to enhance knowledge and gain first-hand experience 

• A training schedule to support and capture your learning and development needs and achievements 

• A learning tool document to track and report the development of your capabilities 

Project Management 

Project management reduces risk and helps clients deliver projects in a consistent and improved manner. Project managers are responsible for the day-to-day management of the various aspects of the project working collaboratively with different your role you will support the project management commissions taking responsibility for effectively delivering a vast range of tasks to the highest quality standard. Some of the key responsibilities will be establishing effective processes and systems to be used throughout the project producing project plans and preparing written project communication materials. Cost Management (Quantity Surveying) 

Cost management is vital in delivering the best value to our clients and maximising their return on investment. You will support the commission manager by delivering a wide range of tasks to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include: estimating and producing cost plans drafting the procurement documentation checking and analysing tenders conducting cost checks and valuations analysing the numbers for the final accounts and liaising with the client contractors and designers. If you have completed or are completing a degree in quantity surveying this is the programme for you. 

Controls and Performance 

Controls and performance is a vital part of modern project delivery. Working with big data software and complex systems the project team will look to you as the oracle of knowledge to support informed decision making. If you are interested in risk project planning cost control or implementing the latest project management software then a career in controls and performance may be for you. Suitable for both the analytical mind and the social butterfly you will excel as you build project delivery plans interrogate million pound cost estimates and roll out the processes and tools necessary to track and control project performance.

A relevant degree in a discipline aligned with the role youre applying for. This could be in: 

• Project Management 

• Cost and Commercial Management 

• Quantity Surveying 

• Engineering 

• Mathematics/Physics

• Data & Analytics

• Construction Management 

• Building Surveying 

• Consulting disciplines:such as asset or facilities management 

Turner & Townsend are not currently offering sponsorship employment permit sponsorship to candidates for roles under the Critical Skills or General Employment Permit schemes. 

Our graduate programme is designed to foster long-term development training and career progression. For this reason we are unable to consider applications from individuals on time-limited immigration permissions (such as Stamp 1G or Stamp 2) where future employment would require sponsorship under the Irish employment permit system. This includes those on the Third Level Graduate Programme or other temporary permissions that do not provide a clear pathway to long-term employment without sponsorship.

This includes Irish and EEA nationals as well as individuals holding Stamp 4 or other long-term residency permissions that allow full access to the Irish labour market.
