Job Description

The Graduate Associate Development & Technical Services (DTS) will support the technical oversight development transfer manufacture and lifecycle management of pharmaceutical products across GSIUCs clinical and commercial manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in technical services process engineering technology transfer process validation troubleshooting and continuous improvement while working within a highly regulated GMP environment.

This role offers a unique opportunity to develop technical operational and leadership capabilities through participation in strategic projects supporting clinical manufacturing expansion new product introductions (NPIs) technology transfers and ongoing commercial product support. The graduate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing Quality Engineering Supply Chain Regulatory Affairs and Global Technical Operations.

• Support technical activities associated with clinical and commercial manufacturing operations.
• Participate in new product introductions technology transfer projects and process scale-up activities.
• Assist with process monitoring trend analysis and Continuous Process Verification (CPV) activities.
• Support investigations deviations CAPAs and change controls through scientific and technical assessment.
• Contribute to process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving quality compliance efficiency and supply reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing and technical issues.
• Support preparation and review of technical documentation including protocols reports risk assessments process descriptions and regulatory submissions.
• Assist in equipment qualification validation and implementation of new technologies and manufacturing capabilities.
• Participate in data analysis activities using manufacturing quality and process performance data to support informed decision making.
• Develop an understanding of product lifecycle management from clinical development through commercial manufacture.
• Support strategic site initiatives related to digitalisation operational excellence and manufacturing capability expansion.

• Bachelors or Masters degree in: Pharmaceutical Science Chemical Engineering Process Engineering Biotechnology Industrial Pharmaceutical Science Chemistry Or a related scientific discipline

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing process development or engineering.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Enthusiasm for learning within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.

The Graduate Associate will receive structured development through:

After 24 months the successful graduate will have developed:

• Strong technical knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Practical experience in GMP technical services and process support.
• Competency in deviation investigations change management risk assessment and validation activities.
• Experience supporting technology transfers and new product introductions.
• The ability to independently manage technical projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• A strong foundation for progression into Technical Services Process Engineering MS&T Product Support or Manufacturing Leadership roles within Gilead.
