Flowtech a market-leading provider of hydraulic and fluid power solutions is seeking a talented Design & Technical Applications Engineer to join its expanding engineering team in Cork. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on a diverse range of hydraulic and electrohydraulic projects while developing your technical expertise within a highly respected engineering business.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled technical engineering team you will:

  • Design innovative hydraulic and fluid power systems to meet customer requirements.

  • Produce technical drawings Bills of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation.

  • Provide technical advice and applications support to customers and colleagues.

  • Work closely with Sales Project Managers and Workshop Engineers to deliver engineered solutions.

  • Liaise directly with customers to understand applications discuss projects and recommend the most effective technical solutions.

  • Support system testing commissioning and continuous product improvement.

About You

Youll be someone who enjoys both the technical and commercial sides of engineering.

You may already have experience in:

  • Hydraulic or fluid power systems

  • Mechanical or design engineering

  • Agricultural industrial or mobile machinery

  • Plant manufacturing or automation engineering

Or you may simply have a genuine passion for engineering and be keen to develop specialist expertise in hydraulics through industry-leading training.

Youll also have:

  • Strong CAD/design or technical engineering skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving ability.

  • Confidence communicating technical information to customers.

  • A collaborative approach and a desire to build lasting customer relationships.

  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning and developing your engineering career.
