Join us as aData Platform Engineer
Reporting into the Data Platform Manager in Threes IT & Networksdepartment the role holder will primarily be responsible for Data Scienceinfrastructure building out scalable code and managing deployments.
They will build and support Data Science Models and be responsible for end toend deployments they will develop ETL processes and reports investigate andfix issues with data pipelines and analysis that give actionable insight andadd value to our business.
They will champion the benefits of Data Science technologies owned by the Dataand AI Tribe and drive adoption of the tools by decision makers. They willcoach and mentor others within the Data Management team and across thebusiness.
As a key part of the Data and AI Tribe in Three the candidate will have thechance to make a difference to the business by helping design build and managecommon data platform components.
What else it involves:
Police standards across all technologies.
Manage GCP Cloud infrastructure.
Review approve and deploy all Production changes (Models Data Pipelinesetc).
Monitor investigate fix and tune Data Science Models and Data Pipelines.
Build scalable code using Python and SQL in Google technologies.
R&D future product releases in GCP.
Manage CI/CD Pipelines
Impact assessment and design specification of new requirements or changes tosystems as required
Challenge requirements to ensure purpose and value of data is clear.
Co-ordinate efforts with external parties and internal stakeholders to managethe impact of changes and source issues on our outputs.
Collaborate with business owners technology leads and Data and AI Tribecolleagues.
Mentor and challenge in house and 3rd party developers on Data Science Modelsand ETL best practice and ensure all relevant standards are met
Extensive data interrogation and validation.
Feature engineering and development and maintenance of analytical datasets.
The skills we are looking for are:
Ability to problem solve.
Data Science Model development experience.
Data Pipelines development experience (Google BigQuery and Datastagepreferably).
Knowledge and experience working in Unix and Windows.
Ability to communicate outputs and to build relationships with stakeholders.
Passion for driving business value from innovative and efficient BIsolutions.
Data Modelling Data Architecture experience.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Reporting tool experience (Cognos 11 or PowerBI preferably).
Telco experience an advantage
