Job Summary

We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager for a leading Nursing Home in Co Dublin.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a consistently high standard of patient-centred care in line with Healthcares mission vision values and strategic objectives.

  • Respect and recognise each patient as an individual prioritising their rights dignity comfort privacy and safety at all times.

  • Foster therapeutic relationships that support patient autonomy informed choice and evidence-based decision-making.

  • Advocate on behalf of patients by providing reassurance support and ensuring their views and wishes are fully considered.

  • Actively identify report and escalate concerns where patient safety quality of care or organisational obligations may be compromised.

  • In the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing fulfil the role of Person-in-Charge in compliance with the Health Act 2007 HIQA standards and associated regulations.

  • Support the Registered Provider and Director of Nursing in the effective day-to-day management and governance of the service.

  • Provide leadership through effective delegation accountability and staff development ensuring compliance with employment legislation training requirements and Healthcare policies.

  • Promote a restraint-free environment and ensure staff are competent in managing responsive or challenging behaviours in line with national policy.

  • Lead quality and safety initiatives by participating in audits inspections risk management infection control and ensuring accurate compliant patient documentation and record-keeping.



  • Requirements
    • Maintain current annual registration in the relevant Division of the Register of Nurses and Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).

    • Have a minimum of 5 years post-registration nursing experience.

    • Have at least 2 years experience in leading or managing a team.

    • Demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development.

    • Hold a relevant qualification in Management.

    • Hold a Train the Trainer qualification.

    • Be a certified ACLS Instructor.

    • Demonstrate strong clinical and evidence-based knowledge.

    • Have proficiency in MS Word Excel PowerPoint Adobe Acrobat and clinical software such as EPR systems.

    • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills for multidisciplinary team working and patient education.

    • Possess strong presentation and communication skills.
