Job Summary
Teamworx is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Manager to join a fast-paced customer-focused food and hospitality operation.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being on the floor leading from the front and creating an environment where great teams deliver great customer experiences.
You will work closely with the General Manager to lead the team maintain high operational standards drive sales and profitability and ensure customers receive an excellent experience every day.
People & Team Leadership
- Support the General Manager in developing and retaining a strong engaged team.
- Lead by example and create a positive inclusive and motivating working environment.
- Conduct regular 1:1s provide feedback and support team performance.
- Support training development and progression across the team.
- Help identify future talent and develop succession plans.
- Promote employee wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance.
- Role model the companys values and leadership behaviours.
Customer Experience & Operations
- Ensure consistently high standards of customer service.
- Lead the team to deliver fast friendly and efficient service.
- Monitor customer feedback and proactively address issues.
- Maintain excellent standards across both Front and Back of House.
- Ensure food and beverage quality presentation and freshness are consistently maintained.
- Ensure the customer experience remains at the heart of daily operations.
Food Safety Health & Safety & Standards
- Ensure all food safety health & safety and operational procedures are followed.
- Maintain a clean safe and well-presented environment.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are maintained to the required standards.
- Identify issues quickly and take appropriate corrective action.
- Coach and train team members where standards need to improve.
Sales & Commercial Performance
- Support the General Manager in driving sales and profitability.
- Monitor daily and weekly business performance and respond proactively to challenges.
- Assist with forecasting rota planning ordering and production.
- Ensure effective labour management while balancing customer team and commercial requirements.
- Analyse stock results and address any areas of concern.
- Identify opportunities to maximise sales throughout the day.
- Ensure merchandising and promotional activity is effectively implemented.
Communication & Change
- Communicate clearly with the team through daily briefings meetings and 1:1s.
- Support the implementation of new initiatives processes and standards.
- Ensure changes are communicated effectively and embedded within the operation.
- Encourage two-way communication and actively seek ideas and feedback from the team.
- Share best practice and work collaboratively with other managers.
We are looking for an experienced hospitality food service or retail manager who is confident leading a busy team and operating in a high-volume customer environment.
