Job Summary

INTECH Process Automation is seeking a skilled Instrument Design Engineer to join our Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. The selected candidate will be responsible for instrumentation design engineering deliverables site surveys technical coordination and design verification for new and brownfield facilities. also ensuring that the designs are technically compliant constructible and properly controlled through procurement installation commissioning MOC and as-built stages.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and check instrument design deliverables including P&IDs datasheets instrument indexes and specifications.
  • Develop and review I/O lists loop diagrams hook-up drawings cable schedules and JB schedules.
  • Prepare MTOs instrument calculations specifications and material requirements.
  • Conduct site surveys field verification walkdowns and brownfield assessments.
  • Ensure design compliance with project specifications Company standards and applicable engineering practices.
  • Coordinate instrumentation interfaces with ICSS Electrical Mechanical Civil Process Operations and Engineering.
  • Resolve technical queries design discrepancies and field engineering issues.
  • Support instrument procurement technical bid evaluation vendor document review and material selection.
  • Support installation inspection testing loop checking commissioning and startup activities.
  • Review and incorporate MOC changes redlines as-built drawings and final engineering records.
  • Verify design deliverables for accuracy consistency constructability and interface integrity.
  • Maintain engineering registers calculations drawings and technical documentation in accordance with document control requirements.
  • Comply with Company procedures HSE requirements quality standards and project controls.

Requirements:

To Be Successful in This Role You Must Have:

  • Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Control Electronics Electrical Engineering or equivalent; relevant certification where applicable.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in Oil & Gas or industrial projects including at least 3 years as an Instrument Design Engineer.
  • Strong experience with P&IDs instrument datasheets instrument indexes I/O lists loop diagrams and hook-up drawings.
  • Proficiency in cable/JB schedules MTOs instrument calculations specifications and engineering documentation.
  • Experience with site surveys brownfield modifications MOC redlines and as-built control.
  • Knowledge of instrument selection installation requirements hazardous-area requirements and engineering standards.
  • Experience supporting procurement installation commissioning and startup.
  • Strong technical coordination with ICSS Process Electrical Mechanical Civil Operations vendors and contractors.
  • Proficiency in relevant engineering/design and document management systems.
  • Good technical reporting problem-solving communication and coordination skills.
